Terms of use
The agreement between you and us when you use Daily Home.
Effective date: 30 August 2026
Last updated: 23 September 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and Rostyslav Horbachenko, a registered sole trader (Einzelunternehmer) in Austria, Samhaberplatz 3, 1140 Vienna, Austria ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Daily Home ("the app"), you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What the app does
Daily Home has two parts:
- A checklist of things to verify before leaving home.
- A care list of recurring household tasks, each showing progress toward its next due date, with an optional daily reminder.
That is the whole of it. The app records what you tell it and reminds you on a schedule.
3. Price and payment
Daily Home is free to download from the Apple App Store. There is currently no subscription, no in-app purchase, and nothing inside the app to unlock. Every feature described in these terms is available to everyone.
We may introduce paid features in a future version. If we do, we will say so clearly in the App Store and in the app before you are asked to pay for anything, and anything you already have will stay available to you on the terms it was given. We will not put an existing feature behind a payment.
Apple is the distributor, and if we add anything paid, Apple is also the seller. Payments are made to Apple under Apple's terms, using the payment method on your Apple Account. We never see or handle your payment details, and we receive no card information at any point.
If you have paid for the app or for anything in it, refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue, approve, or refuse a refund on Apple's behalf.
Daily Home was a paid app before 23 September 2026. If you bought it then, nothing about your copy changes; the app becoming free afterwards does not entitle you to a refund from us, and Apple's ordinary refund policy is unaffected.
Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
While the app is free there is no purchase to withdraw from. You can stop using Daily Home at any time, and delete your account and its data from inside the app (§7).
If you later buy something from us through the App Store, the usual rule applies: as an EU consumer you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, but for digital content delivered immediately that right lapses once delivery begins with your express consent — which is what happens at the moment of purchase. Apple's App Store terms govern this, and Apple's own refund process applies in practice.
4. Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple. We do not offer email-and-password accounts, and we never see your provider password.
You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping access to your Google or Apple account secure — anyone who can sign in there can reach your Daily Home data.
One person, one account. Accounts are not shared, and the app has no facility for sharing a home with another person.
5. Important: the app is not a safety device
This section matters more than the rest. Please read it.
Daily Home records what you tell it. It has no connection to your home, your appliances, or any sensor. It cannot detect whether your stove is actually off, whether a socket is live, or whether a window is really closed.
Accordingly:
- A checked tile means only that you tapped it. It is not evidence that anything was switched off, closed, or locked.
- You must physically verify anything that matters. Do not substitute the app for checking the stove, the door, or the windows yourself.
- The app is not a fire, gas, security, or safety system, and must not be relied on as one.
- Reminders are best-effort. Notification delivery depends on Apple's push service, your network, your device settings, and your battery state. A reminder may arrive late or not at all. Do not depend on it for anything with safety or financial consequences.
If you need a system that actually monitors your home, use purpose-built hardware with appropriate certification.
6. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Attempt to access another person's account or data
- Probe, scan, or attack the service, or try to bypass its access controls
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app, except where law permits
- Use automated means to create accounts or generate load
- Use the app to store unlawful content
We may suspend or terminate accounts that do these things.
7. Your content
The item names and timestamps you enter remain yours. We claim no ownership.
We store and process them only to run the service, as described in the Privacy policy. We do not read them for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell them.
8. Our content
The app itself — its software, design, illustrations, name, and logo — belongs to us and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Using the app does not transfer any of it to you.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the app working but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may need to take the service down for maintenance.
The app is designed to keep working offline for reading, and to sync your changes when you reconnect. That is a convenience, not a guarantee — a change made offline may fail to sync if it conflicts with a change from another device.
10. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time in Menu → Manage account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your data. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore it.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the service. Where we discontinue it deliberately, we will give reasonable notice so you can export anything you want to keep.
11. Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
If you are a consumer, this section does not limit rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law, which may give you guarantees we cannot exclude.
12. Liability
To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for:
- Loss or damage resulting from reliance on the app instead of physically verifying something (see §5)
- Reminders that are delayed, misdelivered, or never delivered
- Loss of data, including data lost through account deletion or a failed sync
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential loss
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
The courts of Austria have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, nor of your right to bring proceedings there.
